Request is the umbrella term used to describe the articles, manuscripts, funding requests, and other items processed by institutions and publishers in Oable. Requests are the main objects that move through the different steps of Oable's workflow. The Request holds metadata (such as author names, affiliations, DOI's, etc.) as well as payment terms related to the Open Access charges.

In Oable, Requests are entering a workflow that is driven by the associated Agreement rules. How a Request is handled in Oable can vary widely and depends on the Agreement parameter settings and automation rules applied. You can reach more about Agreements here.
